Bespoke bag sampling

Published by Jo .F on

Once you’ve decided on building a bespoke bag you can talk it through with us in the office and we can add to it or you can send us your scamps and mood boards which we can interpret for you. If you’ve not made a bag before and not sure which fabric to choose for the bag you are looking for we can advise with our bag sampling.

If you know exactly the finish you are looking for, then you can send us reference fabric or photos to help us source exactly what you need. We can Pantone match, use exactly the same fabric as the sample you send us or find that neon orange bias binding you need for finishing the internal pocket of your bespoke bag.

We worked on 4 ideas for cooler bags for a spirit a summer concept and winter concept – each subtly different and trialling different branding options that included embroidery and blind embossing on leather. The internal thermal fabric is pretty clever and I’ll write another post just about thermal fabrics because they are miraculous and worthy of a mention.

After receiving a detailed specification from our client which had fabric references and finishing cues as supporting imagery, we compiled a list of questions and commentary on clasp sizes, embroidery and what is achievable with the logo required, proportions of stitching and leatherwork plus colour references. A discussion then took place between us and the client to firm up details which allowed us to then to sample the four options.
